Supercharger will be a shit job to get working correctly with R1 carbs..why not just used standard inlet?

just looking at best set ups

Well dont use an eton then there not the best. I would stick with the tried and tested rotrex units and also just keep the standard inlet or if you must change it a c2 vts metal inlet if your using a 16v engine..

best bet if your serious about it is to give john at gmc a call.
dare i say it but there is plenty of reading to be done over at ssc regarding it. Not like threads on here asking is it possible.

R1 cars will not really work. Well I say this not knowing the car that well. Normally you have to have a carb that you can pressurise (ones originaly intended for boost such as that from a R5GTT) or you have to put the full car in a pressurised box and air seal the hole thing. But even that does not work with many cars. Then you also have to use boost pressure regulated fuel pressure regulator. That is all before you get in to the complicated of setting the carb up it self for the job. But there is little point doing all this as carbs have never worked well or turbos and you will never pass a MOT if your running any sort of boost on a carb. Have a look at a few R5GTT, old RX7 and drag racing motorbike forums as they can tell you a lot more. I would just recommend retaining the stock setup as it works fine with boost. People are running low and even sup 13 sec quarter miles on the standard parts. Get your self a MF2 if you want to go DIY or you can get a cheap stand alone ECU if your feeling adventurous or even just a remap if its a fit and forget thing your after. As for the supercharger the mini unit is extremely limiting and very cumbersome. Don't expect massive power or a easy fit. But if you don't want to start talking big power and are happy to cut up your shell then its workable. You may wish to get some help setting up the belt unless you really know what your doing though. They also get very hot, just something to think about.
