exhaust with grunt

hi all ive got a phase 2 vts and want an exhaust with grunt that sounds racey not just loud, ive got a magnex but its a bit too quiet can anyone suggest a good back box cheers p.s not a silly peco lol

you wont get great sound just from a back box alone, get the rest of the magnex system and de-cat it, then it'll sound better.

if your wanting a back box with a nice sound go for a custom one which can be made to sound how you want.

my magnex full system with de cat sounds well, nice burble on idle n with help from the k+n shouts a bit when you ring its neck, de cat med quite a difference

Iv got a Milltek cat back system and it sounds really nice, not too loud tho.

mine is a scorpion full system with de-cat and 5" suzuka pipe, sounds nice when you put ya foot down but its also not too loud when on long journeys, it pops alot too.

alot of people wont like my zaust because it is that loud,but i dont care cos i like it,also constant popping when you come off accelerator,spitting flames sometimes

im running a piper 3,5inch outwardly rolled backbox as they are suposed to sound good and it was crap so i decided to take the centre silencer out and replace it with a cherry bomb and its still rubbish. i drive a mk2 vts btw. im really confused, can anyone give me a reason why it wont make any noise. shall i remove the cat? or take out the cherry bomb? all i want is to be able to hear the exhaust.

If you have a vts i recommend a straight through with janspeed backbox, and a 4,2,1 manifold for some bubling

i dont really want bubbling, i want a really raspy system. i only put the bomb in as i was desperate. i really like the sound of piper backboxes but im confused as to why mine does nothing.

i meant rspy, its hell of a lot, mate u wouldnt be dissapointed with the janspeed backbox on a straight through

yeah but i just bought the stainless piper backbox new i dont really wanna waste that tbh.what would be the best thing to do with what i have. decat or get rid of the bomb?

nice i just got a cda ordered, i definately want to take the cat out and ill probably get rid of the bomb as it isnt my thing its just a shame that i just got powerflow to make up a whole centre section with the bomb in, waste of money lol
