Neon lights in footwells

    i know its prob bin posted before but could any one help me with instructions on how to install the neon lights in the footwells

    Have a look through the ice-section or have search.

    You can wire them off the you fag lighter and add a switch.

    Cigarrette lighter has 3 wires....

    1 switched live (comes on when you turn on your lights)
    1 earth
    1 permanent live

    You have to cut to of them then reconnect with a little connector not sure what its called..


    Then if you want them to come on switched connect the neon wires the the earth and permanent

    If you want them to come on when you turn on your headlights connect them tothe switched and the earth..

    The wire colours vary from mk1 to mk 2 i know theres a diagram some where but cant remember which is which sorry.

    I had them for a while and though they were cool but they get on your nerves after a while and break easily

    It should go in the Interior and Styling section I think, because I've started a thread on neons in the ICE section and it got moved to Interior styling.

    Here's mine. I wired them into the back of the cigarette lighter with a switch.

    i wired it to the back of the HU for the front 2, the boot light for the rear 2, amp for the parcel shelf and amp for the 2 boot ones heheh my car glowed!!!!!
