Spraying Rear Badges

This isn't asking how to so much, just I went into halfrauds I asked the guy what primer to use for doing this he said "You wont need any if they are black just spray black ontop" I completely ignored the guy and got some grey primer.

So I sanded it down, primer ray tay tay... add first coat of black and it looks semi gash, my question is, is this due to me not using plastic primer or due to the conditions they were drying in (an old conservatory not heated its the same atmosphere as outside with a glass cover so things dont get wet).

Probably down to conditions mate, it needs to be at room tempature or slightly warmer else the paint will react with the moist air.

I did mine with plastic primer and gloss black, but they came out abit shite - so I also lacquered them and they turned out looking quite good

    Spraying it takes too long.

800 wet and dry (wet) then 1500 wet and dry (wet) then quick polish over with some rubbing compound. Takes less than 10 mins and comes out superb
