exhaust, whats to big?

    my car was recently written off which i bought back from the insurance but the back box and centre section is split and bent as well as other small damages...lol
    now i wanna put something back on other then a standard exhaust but nothing to expensive, do you think this would be anygood or would the tip be to big and look stupid?

    Very similar to mine mate, if your lowered it will look the dogs bollocks, if your not, it wont.

    anything bigger than 3.5 in my opinion looks slightly out of place but each to thier own! x

    3" suits the saxo down to a nut and 4" is the biggest you can get away with probably...

    only big exhaust i think looks good is the piper 4" slash cut on vt models tho, none flat arch cars look daft, anything else doesnt suit imo..

    Agreed. Piper on the vt* looks awesome.

    But def no bigger than 4 inch. And on a 1.1 have to have a hole cut out, as anything bigger than 3 looks stupid.

    mines the supersprint so its like a pea shooter and i love it, but im not one for big exhausts. my mum has a honda prelude with all the works and it has a 4.5" exhaust and it kinda looks ok, but my GOD is it loud... it sets off car alarms when it drives up hills which is kinda...

    Loudest exhaust Ive heard on a road using car was measured at 147.5 d/b, that was on a mi16 205gti. Was ridiculously loud. Built it for track use originally, but obviously had to take the exhaust off when it came to his circuit time as it was well over the noise limit.

    ive got a 4.5 on mine now, looks like it should be on a scooby, but my vts is slammed to the deck so it actually looks tidy

    Yeah as long as you can just see the actual hole and not the whole back box, it should look good. good to see the back box from the side though.
