1.1, what can i do to it

as the title says, its a 3 stud hub, so will i have trouble finding alloys for it, and basically just a few modds for the interior and exterior, any ideas

can always have it converted to 4 stud if you wanted.

i wouldnt know what to suggest, but i would say ICE,alloys,exaust,lowered, possibly some tints.

alright mate,yeah you will have a bit of a problem finding wheels that are 3 stud,i know 'compomotive'do 3 stud alloys but cant think of any others just have to look around i guess.unless you get a 4 stud conversion?. I wouldnt go any bigger than 195/45/15's either mate you could get away witha 45mm drop,any more and you looking at a bit of rear arch work. As for modding what cant you do to a saxo?. i would say keep it subtle mate, dont just buy the biggest spoiler you can find!!! keep away from the bargain bins and just keep it looking smooth.

just do styling, no point in engine mods because its a 1.1 and you really cant get much out of it, only sound with filter and backbox

one more thing, please,please,please dont buy a pair of lexus lights!!! everytime i see a saxo with them i cant help cringeing. tbh you car would look more 'modded' keeping the original ones.there's nothing worse (in my opinion)than someone driving round in a bog std saxo with a pair of LEXUS lights on the back thinking there in a show stopper!!

as sean says in his sig, you want lexus lights...buy a fucking lexus.

with regards to the 1.1 there are a few companies that make 3 stud alloys its just searching for them.

i would bother with the engine as you wont get any big power increases. drop a vtr/s lump in for better power.

keep the styling subtle nothing ott.

lexus lights are wank though. if you have a mk1, put mk2 rear lights on and vice versa, or the jewel lights from cituning.

if you are 20 years of age, then why dont you sell the 1.1 and get a 1.4 furio!?! comes with 4-stud rims and the vt* bodykit. it wouldn't be a lot more on insurance and you can pick up one in very good condition for next to nothing nowadays.

yes you can fit the vt* kit to a 1.1 but with a few modifications.

you can have a look on ssc as a lot of them on there get a saxo and immediately wack a kit on it so therefore the orginial is up for sale. try ebay as well mate.

there used to be a very limited selection on three stud alloys, but a while ago, somebody from here posted up a link to a site where there was an odd twenty different styles.

Ring around your local scrappy's and get them to keep an eye out for any 4-stud Saxo's that come in, you can have the hub's off them. I've got no idea on prices, but you can always barter a bit

Thats another route you could go down.....

I think finding a good set of 3-stud rims is what you want to do though mate, much less of a ball-ache.

iv only got a 1.1 and have managed to 'subtle' modify it
iv got the alloys, umm what else o h ye i had a spoiler put on, m3 mirrors, lexus lights (2yrs ago when they were in lol) and iv had it all colour coded - i have had lots of problems with it but cnt afford to get another 1 and parents will go mad so im thinking of lowering it slightly too

i'll tell you what you cant do mate, you cant go 115mph or beat a 2.0 golf 0-60. oh yeah you cant beat vtr/s despite claims from 'special' people on the site! come to think of it i doubt his 'saxo 1.1' could even keep up with his bullshiting antics.

i have a 1.0i saxo, i have done: wheels(found some very nice 3studs of ebay- a rarity) induction kit, ice, had lexus lights but taken them off! i would definetly prioritise on wheels because they change the whole look of the car. no point in making it faster at all!

yeah theres some real nice multispoke alloys on ebay, i would love some wheels in antracite, because the cars silver, but there'd be no reason why i can't spray them
