De-pinning the Doors

    i hate ppl sitting in my front seat and unlocking the doors or locking them just by pushing them down i wanna get rid of them so how do i do it, i mean ive seen the pics in the how to guide but it doesnt say how you fill the holes where the pin use to be??? help

    13mm gromet from halfords

    Yep it does leave a hole but as said, a grommit will fill it nicely.

    just done mine today on a mk2, cba takin all door liner off so just chopped the end off, got some "membrane" grommet things 6 and 13mm from halfords, took about 10mins tops, looks better and not as easy for people to get in imo

    the only time i would need to lock myself in is if some big boys were gunna beats me up or if some peadofile was chasing me but i cant see me ever needin to lock myself in... could just drive off tbh

    ye, press the thingy to stop ultrasonics workin so alarm doesnt go off while your inside, close doors, press key fob

    As said, you can buy a grommet to fit the hole nicely, piss easy mod to do aswel.

    right just got my grommets it the 6 and 13mm rubber ones and how do i do it do i have to take the doors off or sum one said chop the tops off the pin but then wouldnt that not work cos the rest off the pin still in door would just push grommet out?

    no they wouldnt if the doors are unlocked becuase the pin cant travel any higher than that, does doing it that way prevent a theif from slim jimming the car from the outside?

    cutting the door pin DOES not stop it being easy to break into

    it may make theives think there is no door pin

    but they are still there and can easily be broken into

    remove the door pins to make your car safe

    ok how do i remove the door pin well i kno how but will i need to buy new plugs incase my old one snap or split and how do i make a round gromet fit in a square hole lol
