   im wanting to buy some 15s for my VTR but i am wondering which would be best for when i lower it?
   
   195/45/15
   or
   195/50/15
   
   does the 50 rub on anything when lowered 40mm?

   it isnt really that noticeable tbh mate, i ont find so anyway!
   
   45 is like the standard size to go for on 15" alloys on a saxo, but 50's give more options aswell, usually track tyres n the grippier options!
   
   Im using 50 atm on yoko parada spec 2's, good for summer use but gonna be awfull in the wet now , i dont race around in the wet though so shouldnt be too bad

   I'd go for 45's mate, my saxo is lowered 45mm at the back and it rubs when I got over a hard bump/dip at speed (not very often) and I've got 15" pug alloys with 195/50/15 plus I've got the back of my car stripped out
   
   but my mate had the same suspension set up but with 45's and his never rubbed with 5 people in it

   45's will have less chance of rubbing.
   
   50's have so much better tyre choice !
