    Hi,

What is needed exactly to lower the front of a VTR?

Do i need the struts? Or would just the springs do?

    Thanks in advance,

    Depends on your budget mate...
Can just use springs, or you can get shocks and springs.

I had to get a new rear axle, so i got one from my local scrappy, and it had been from a lowered Saxo, so my car is uneven at the moment, they are trying to sell me the front struts, but i've heard all i would need was the lowered springs?

Would it be best to get the springs? Or the full strut? I can afford both like

    Thanks

all you need to lower it is the actual springs, did the rear axel have uprated rear dampers

Up to you mate... If you have just springs, its meant to wear the standard shocks down quicker or something. And it should give you a better handling and stiffen it up. Depends what sort of set up you wanna go for... But then there's a big price difference between springs only or a full kit...

I'm not sure mate, all i know is the rear axle i have, and the front struts that i want to buy, are from teh same lowered Saxo, I just don't know whether to get the full struts, or just the springs

The want £70, but said they'd give me £30 back if i give them my standard struts, so like £40 for the struts, is that good orr?

My mate works at Volkswagen as a mechanic, and he's done all the work so far on my car so he's doing it, reckon i should just get the full struts then?
