Clutch pedal not returning all the way

  1. #1
    Hi everyone!
I recently purchased a 1.1 Saxo, with 55.000 km on the clock. Is it normal that i can pull the clutch pedal up for about 4-5 cm from its resting position? Meaning, when I lift the foot and the pedal returns, I put my foot below it and pull it up for 5cm with little force.
Please forgive my ignorance , as this is my first car and I don't have much experience with mechanical stuff. Would like to learn, tough.
Would it be enough to tighten the clutch cable, or is there a bit more work involved?
Thanks for your replies, appreciate any help given...

    I'd say yes..

reason being you can have the clutch really high or low to the floor by adjusting the cable on the clutch, so basically when you lift the pedal up your making the cable slack.

I moticed this too. Also with my throttle :L.. I want max power for a 1.1
