1.1 decat

    would it work propa if i was to fabricate my own decat pipe for my mk2 1.1? im thinking of getting the cat with the conecting parts (that bolt up), cutting the parts that bolt up off, then having a pice of pipe bent to shape then welding it?

    or is there a part of a mk1 vtr exhaust that will decat my car?

    i kno it aint gonna give me any proformance but i want it for the sound, and the exhaust note, would backfire?

    i heard one with the vtr back box and a decat and it just sounded heo i wanted with his indunction kit, and tbh i just fancy having ago at making my own, if ya kno wot i mean?

    it woulsnt be that difficult tbh, but why..........................just buy a back box for £30 off ebay!

    tbh i really just want that decat sound with the vtr back box and the filter i have, and im skint and i could make a decat for pretty much free if it will work,
    ill feel more satisfaction to make my own decat pipe than just buying one, and hopefully ppl will respect the fact that i had a go, just need to kno if it will work first?
