replacement air filters

   i am thinking of just getting a replace air filter (such as a K&N) which just fits in the standard box....will this make any difference to the noise of the engine as they are meant to be free flow filters

   i believe panel filters is the term for them

   no not much noise from them, for noise get an open filter like k&n 57i kit or someting like that but they are bad for performance

   You won't notice much difference in noise if any with a panel filter. If you like induction roar then go for an open cone filter as said but a panel filter will probably be better for performance and fuel economy

   i have a 57i on mine. its funny how load it is without my car actualy moving quickly and its bad for performance... i didnt no at the time but if you want a loud noise, as stupot says cylindrical
