Anyone used this products?

   I am about to but this product from Halfords:

   Has anyone ever tried it and do you know how do you apply it? Do you just mix it with the current lubricant in the Gearbox oil?

   You have to understand that these sort of things are really just gimmicks and don't really do anything for you. I could quite legally bottle any normal gearbox oil in a small bottle and sell it as a gearbox additive. As long as it was marginally better than what is used by at least one car as standard I can even print on it all sorts of things such as it protects, makes your box last longer, gives better fuel economy and /or even more power. You will be far better just putting fresh oil in your gearbox if its not had a change for some time.

   Indeed, they are just a quick and easy way to make a quick buck by lying to the consumer pretty much.

   30,000 on the clock. Is that a lot? Should i change my gearbox oil? Also thanks for the Tip up!
