cat cams!

   right i have just have given to me a set of CatCams for my 01 vtr i know there is some info on the stickys but its a bit confusing with me being a girl! i know if i fitted these i would need a remap which i have got money saved up but what else would i need for these to run perfect?? this is the link for the cams i have had!

   i know i will need a remap! but i wont need nothing else like any head work done or forged pistons etc

   you dont headwork or pistons
   
   id look at a pulley for vtr. actually id get a pulley

   id agree with bullit get a vernier pulley so you can get the timing spot on
   
   most places will sort the timing whilst mapping so its beneficial
   might find a few extra ponies from good timing too

   on the 8v you have to get an aftermarket pulley.
   
   its only the 16v engines where OE pulleys can be retained.

   i had standards on my vts with the newmans

   yep standards are adjustable as std and have timing marks, great from standard.
