Been wanting to de wiper the car for a while and gave it a few attempts using correct tools and following preds guide and failed on all accounts until I got the point i just didnt care anymore and just wanted it off! Lol.
It wasnt at all smooth but it did the job in the end.
P.s I know i used completely the wrong saw but its all i could find.lol
Pics below..........for you all to laugh at more than anything.lol

And it worked but dont know how to get rid of the ring on the glass that was there when i removed the wiper. Any ideas?

I done the same on my rear window

i havent figured out a solution for the ring on the glass either...so if anyone knows...please post.

The pug grommet that they used to make i think used to cover the ring whole...and looks alot better...now the item is discontinued

Bet that saw was useless afterwards.
  4. #4
yeah prob is useless now but i just put it back where i found it and deny all knowlege.lol.
if anyone knows where i can get hold of the pug part even though its discontinued, it would be a great help

    get the citroen part
    its off an ax

bout 4 quid for it all

plus you cant fix the ring as its were the plastic has worn the glass slightly

i remember i sawed mine off ages ago now, used one of those coping saw's, took bloody ages but looked much better when i had done, i dont think they are much anyway from citroen, good job mate

yeah it did the job. sometimes its just too hard to do things the proper way.lol.
i did hear someone say before it was the plastic corroding the glass that caused that ring but i did think... how is that even possible?
Does that mean im stuck with it? cos it looks shit!

LOl nice one mate! Perserverence FTW!! But yeah need to get shot of that ring.
  11. #11
ring cant be removed unless you get new glass mate

you can try machinolishing the glass but its more of a gouge than a scratch

the wiper motor will still move thats what causes the gouge into the glass

i also had this problem and what i did is got some black touch up paint and painted it, then let it dry and got a stanley blade and scaped the excess off so it just left the paint in the groove, its quite effective, makes it alot less visable.

Lads, lads lads :| All you need to get that off is a set of Torx screw drivers, take off the black plastic on the inside of the boot, then remove the rear wiper motor! It took me all of 20 minutes to do and I'm pretty useless with tools. And I thought that ring would be from dried in dirt etc as there was lots under the rubber seal!
