Lightend flywheel + Clutch

   I just phoned to order a lightend and balanced flywheel, and the guy on the phone said they have a clutch plate balanced up to the flywheel for an extra £80
   
   Can i just go with the flywheel or should i get the balanced up cover too?.
   
   If so why?.

   Ideally everything gets balanced at the same time. I personally think getting a clutch cover done too is pointless but if you want it all running in harmony then get it all done. You doing the crank too?

   Cheers, no just wanted the flywheel tbh. But when the guy mentioned the cover i thought id see if it was worthwhile doing.

   how much you paying and where you getting the flywheel from out of interest?

   what engine mods have you done to put a lighted flywheel on ?

   Just the flywheel will be fine mate, good modification to do and so noticeable

   4-1 GMC Manifold / Full decat system
   Newmans PH3's
   Ported & Polished head & TB
   BMC filter
   
   
   Im getting the flywheel from hiflow heads. Around £80. Clutch cover is also about £80
   
   Well im gonna order the flywheel today so we'll see what the difference is, i know you loose torque & accel increases and my cars lighter than most saxos.

    £80 for a lightened and balanced flywheel? That sounds very cheap, especially from HiFlowHeads! Are they standard flywheels drilled out or are they ally ones?

    We'll see, ill get some pics up when it arrives. If i had to guess id say its a standard one thats been machined.

    Yeah that would be good to see. I would be interested to know how heavy it is too if you have a pair of scales handy...?
