it should be mate as long as the vtr engine is from about the same year as you need loom, ecu etc

yer chris got loom ect can you do swap

as long as the new engine uses the same gen loom then its a straight swap

By gen i dont just mean single/3 plug as on the VTS's the later single plugs were different to the earliers so for instance a VTS engine from a 00 reg would not be a straight swap into a 98 as the loom is different.

However.....i dont know if this also happened on the VTR/1.4's.

If both engines are pre 00 or post 00, you should be perfectly ok.

wish you would stop positng the worlds most useless shite tbh, you know fuck all by the looks of things, picking your nose is a faff to you.
Engine changes are not exactly hard. For the price you can get a VTR engine and if you enjoy messing on with cars, its not a faff, and tbh can work out cheaper if your westy engine is shagged.

    Wilo
as long as single plug as the usefull people have said its a straight swap.

The engine mounts should be the same, only one i know of being different is the VTS, williams normally grinds the VTR one if people dont have the VTS mount

Give me a shout if you need a hand.
