#2hey blue. have you read the stickys lol?
you will have sound, but not any performance -
#3depends if you want sound or power
enclosed kits are most expensive but give mre power
cones usualy give best noise and are prettty cheap -
#4there for sound more than anything mate

#6so reading a few bits on induction, it is stated that the open cone filter is not as good because it draws warm air because it sits over the engine. But if you were to extend the k&n cone to the front of the engine bay or run a hose from the bottom of the bumper up to the filter would this improve things a bit ?

#7get a cone then add a cold air feed to it so u dnt loose anypower
-
#8yea... i thought k and n filters where notoriously bad at getting any power increase?
-
#9not really, i doubt it would take the air from the hose rather than a round it. id get a replacement panel filter ( keeping the existing closed standard induction) or pick a green or raceland up second hand. or a bmc in fact

#10Oh right was just looking at this, it's how k&n reccomend fittingQuote:not really, i doubt it would take the air from the hose rather than a round it. id get a replacement panel filter ( keeping the existing closed standard induction) or pick a green or raceland up second hand. or a bmc in fact

#11Ive just orderd the green panal filter from kam racing. Good price to. Just waiting for it to arrive to give a verdict!
I had the pipercross with the cold air feed. Sounded good but sits way to close to the engine. -
#12so can you not use the k&n but make up some hose or tubing and extend the filter so it comes to the front of the engine bay by the slam panel to draw cold air
