vtr drinking oil and nocking from engine

right i have a 2002 vtr and ive put a raceland 4-2-1 on so ive had to conver the oil filter but since then its been drining oil.

since i did it 5weeks ago its drank it so its almost bone so toped it up but im getting a nocking noise when revving form in the engine its not as loud as the engine noise/tappets its self but it does get quicker and louder the harder u rev.

then cheked oil again and my dipstick snaped off in my engine the little pastic bit at the end so need get that out aswell.
is it just mine or are the vtr enignes crap?? when i say crap i dnt mean quick i mean reliable.

anyway ladys and gents have you got any ideas i know i need to take it to garage but any ideas off price liek worse case???

The VTR is just as reliable as any other engine if you look after it!!

When doing any work on your car you should always keep an eye on fluid levels over the following few weeks to make sure nothing was desturbed.

Sounds like you've starved the bottom end of oil.

Swap the engine out with a new one....that will be the easiest option.
