#2i think youll need something like a gt25-28 like off a nissan 200sx. will give more power than r5turbo aswell being a roller bearing as standard.
-
#3yeah i think i might have too i was just gonna try use it as its just sat in the garage doin nothing ..but dont the gt25 and 28 also have a square inlet on them
-
#4i just dont fancy buying a dp manifold as it loads of dosh the cituning one is only 250
-
#5im not sure mate, try looking at some pictures on ebay, the dp manifold is truly a piece of art... all equal length aswell.
-
#6yeah i agree mate the dp blister is well sweet but the price is a bit high , but like they say you get what you pay for.
-
#7Does it not still bolt on? The bolt holes should be 2.87 by 1.57. If not simply cut the flange and collector if need be off and weld on a standard T25 setup. If you cant do it your self there will be a local welder who can do it for you. The manifold may have been intended for a ford type turbo if this is so you may have problems on the down pipe side as well if your planning on using a down pipe that came with it.
-
#8cituning manifold use the GT17 turbos off saabs, now I know for a fact that they came in varying sizes and I have the t25 equivealnt as a spare, but have a nromal gt17 thats ont he car now
-
#10or alternatively degsy buy my whole kit intercooler boost pipes turbo downpipe the lot and get yourself a new manifold job done
-
#12i would buy it but getting hold of a big wedge of cash is a bit difficult right now , i was gonna buy different bits every month when i get paid for my conversion, then once i had all the bits id take the car off the road and fit it all.Quote:or alternatively degsy buy my whole kit intercooler boost pipes turbo downpipe the lot and get yourself a new manifold job done
how much you after -
#13£550 delivered for the lot as you wont need the 8v manifold
turbo
downpipe
boostpipes
intercooler
hoses
boost gauge
dump valve
mi16 injectors
various clips etc
all you need to sort out is the oil feed line, oil return line, the sump, ower compression and the mapping. But if you cant buy i in no rush as I am sort half arsed finishing it off but prob would sell if someone had the cash -
#14that is alot cheaper than i was expecting..
dont have the cash at the min tho .
when i have some cash ill see if you still have it mate. -
#15would have said 750 with the manifold but you dont need it so no worries lol
-
#16i just had a message from cituning about the manifold they said that t25's will fit the manifold is this right as what i was saying in this thread about the inlet being square on a t25 and round on the manifold ?? does this not matter will the gasket still seal it i dont have a clue
-
#17t25s etc will fit the flange is the same but it is the physical size of the thing.
I think whatyour saying is the manifold to turbo flange is square which is correct and anything with that pattern will fit but the exhaust flange for the downpipe is round.
Have a look in my project thread mate few pics int here http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...&postcount=401
thats just opne post but gives you idea -
#18im getting confused now ..
what i meant was were the turbo and manifold join the flange on the turbo not the outside shape the inside were the exhaust gas goes in is square but on the manifold it is round
you get what i mean
im sure im making this really confusing for you -
#19oh that dont worry about it mate it will be fine I know what you mean. As said look through my progress thread and look at the pics any probs just post up again / pm me / reply to prog thread
-
#20so do you reckon a t25 will fit down in the small gap between the block and the rad with the cituning manifold
-
#21im off to have a read of your progress thread looks good mate
thanks for your help buddy
im sure ill need ur help again in the near future
cheers
rep'd -
#22i dont think so but as I said the gt17 is just the start of theat series of turbo there is a bigger gt17 that is more or less same sizr as t25 internally but in the same "shell" as the gt17.
tbh with the gt17 should be enough to see you to 180bhp, i mean Mine when finiashed will be mapped on 1 bar again. No problems give me a shout if stuck seems like I am the only one that is using the cituning kit atm which tbh as much as people slate them they are good bits of kit
