carbon license plates??

   looking at doing my car with carbon theme. will be expesive. seen things like carbon petrol cap door handles etc. but on streamline carbon i spotted carbon lisence plates, is the qhole plate made from carbon and not road legal?
   
   will they make the plate yellow carbon with standard carbon colour.doesnt state on there site. may as well pay the extra £20 and get real carbon instead of a fake one.

   Sounds good buddy. Do you mean carbon number plates? if so i think it's just the carbon lettering with the standard reflective yellow/white backing.

   I made some carbon number plates-
   
   
   
   Simply got some pieces of carbon fibre, then got Chris IOW to supply me with the white and yellow reflective vinyl with the letters cut out and stuck them of the carbon.
   
   I went for standard size font, but stictly speaking they won't be legal. Really can't imagine them being noticed (touch wood!).

   Think I read on Streamlines website that they do their plats in the same way as above i.e. a sheet of carbon with reflective vinyl with letters cut out placed over

   so will the yellow bacground be the carbon effect ? r will it just be plain with dark carbon fonts. no point just having real carbon letters and fake plate lol.

   You're best asking them- I'd guess they'd do it the same way I did.
   
   A yellow carbon fibre would look a bit odd I think. It wouldn't be reflective either so you'd get noticed by the busys!

   a nice film over it would make it shiney i message them but they dont respond lol. better of just saving the 20 quid and getting fake ones if the whole plate isnt carbon then lol.

   complete carbon peice yes and then in any size of your choice with vinyl applied, 100%carobn, mega light, mega thin and mega weave I and other customers never had any problems as fronm a distance they are fine and even tho not reflective at night with lights on them they are not far off tbh
