I've had a search but would just like a bit of guidence before I grind my calipers!

Could someone please draw a line on the carrier where I grind please? I've got a good idea just after some confirmation please!

I'll happily give you a dollop of green

no probs mate! best thing to do is offer it up to the strut and you will see straight away where you will have to grind.

Will do, just wanted to chop the majority at work first and give a tickle if needed.

dont chop too much off though mate. may take off too much and not be able to use the carrier.

mate as said hold it up, it will take 30 secs to grind off, rather than do it before just hold it up and it will all become clear

No problem- just wanted to get a decent coat of paint on the ground piece. I'll just blob some on before I bolt it on. Cheers!

mate just use a really good file thats what i did 2mins and both were done. much safer than a grinder

as i said on the ssc thread dont grind the carrier grind the strut

Martin i used to grind the strut but i've now decided i prefer grinding the carriers.

Bonus of strut is you can fit other aftermarket calipers easily without any extra grinding. Bummer is you're weakening the strut where there is a quite obvious bit of added strengthening. Not sure, swings and roundabouts really.

correct as above however just line it up and make sure you cut the right side best to cut a slot rather than a chamfer as then it will fit the strut better.
