stud and nut conversion?

  1. #1
I have a set of wolfrace alloys from my old ford, which uses wheel nuts with the thread already fitted on the hub.

I want to fit them to my Saxo Vts, however saxos have Bolts. The alloys are designed for nuts, so now i'm looking at making a bolt to nut conversion!

I am confused on what kits to buy, and what ones are safe!

Can anyone give me some general advice for doing this conversion, and any links/websites which sell safe kits for this job.

Will be giving out reps for help!

just phone any decent wheel selling company and ask for the wheels bolts to fit them wheels to your car
demon tweeks and halfords will be able to help you and if the wheels are ford offset you will need 18mm spacers to make them fit

Ah yeah, i didn't think about contacting halfords about it, because i brought them from there.

I hope they can help then, it's just i think the alloys are designed for nuts, by looking at the stud holes in the actual wheel. But maybe im wrong.

They will still be ok for bolts, I'm guessing they are for flat faced.

If you want stud and nut, which is easier if you regularly have the wheels off, then it is quite feasible.

Myself and Paul, pjm2000 on here, will be speaking to local engineering firms about providing stud and nut conversions for flat faced and tapered varieties. We're looking to offer a group buy at some time in the near future.

just go to rally design or demon tweeks, specify what lentgh/pitch you want and what kind of bolts.....
