Hi, just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how to smooth the Ibiza spiltter into the rear bumper. I have already fixed the spiltter to the bumper & was thinking on putting some philler on it to smooth it in. Would that do it or is their anything else i need to do?

no, filler wont do the job fine at all.

it will just crack and fall out.

as it is plastic it needs to be plastic welded and smoothed using a proper plastic filler that remains flexible so that it wont crack and will flex with the bumper.

Do i have to use a plastic welder as i have already attached the spiltter to my bumper. Couldn't i just use the plastic filler to smooth it in?

you might be able to if there is no movement in the joint between the bumper and the splitter. if not you could just DIY it with a heat gun. i've just done it on my rear bumper on my golf and its better than plastic welding imo. its just as flexible as the original bumper as you are just melting the original plastic and reshaping it slightly.

basically just use the heat gun along the join. hold it there for a while until it melts slightly, then join it together using a flat headed screw driver to 'smudge' the join. if you've done it right then the plastic shoud dry as one piece, then you can just put a skim of plastic filler on top.
