basically ive got a budget of around £500, ive a westcoast with a vtr kit and wheels, i wanna spend the money on things such as backbox, lower it, induction kit, tints, however im rubbish with cars, i drive the things and thats about it, so obv labour in a garage would have to come into my budget.

if i just get a backbox on my standard exhaust will it give it a better (slightly nosier) sound without me having to fork out for a full system? and also does an induction kit give you any more noise?

any other ideas i can do to improve the car would be appreciated, ive already got a wicked sound system!!

Go on there for a backbox, sportex one, 82 quid, Fits perfect. Sounds great. Induction kit wise, yes it does make it nosier, but is that all your after? Because the cheap ones often K&N reduce performance due to heatsoak etc. So a raceland enclosed one would be a good bet. Get them off ebay for about 70 quid. Lowering, depends how low you want to go, i'm down 40mm on my westcoast and it sits perfect. I bought some apex springs off ebay for 45 quid, and had the work done at a garage including lowering the torsion bar for 90. But if you are going down any lower than 40mm it is advised to get uprated dampers etc.

well i was thinking 50mm but obv not if its gonna involve more work!
and yes i was looking at kn filters but id rather it gave me a little performance boost as well as sounding bit meaner, basically my problem is ive got such a loud system that the car doesnt really match up to it, so im trying to level it out a bit, but because im clueless with cars (i had to get my mate to put my smoked rear lights on) ive gotta pay the garage to do everything which lowers my budget a lot!!

thanks for the advice tho, anymore would be appreciated
    p.s how do i rep?!?

back box is one bolt to undo then take it off rubber mounts. its realli easy. just look and think how things are attached. everything i know is self taught. youl save alot of money so its worth just trying. but springs i cant help you with.

tbh mate its not really worth it just getting a back box. It wont make the car any faster will just add noise. its not overly expensive for a fully system

see kamracing for some good deals on full systems

if not i would get it lowered first. can get a spax kit with dampers for £150
then anything up to £150 to get it all fitted with tortion bar done to match
