Torsion bars...(halp)

    Good evening chaps

Iv had 3 goes at lowering my torsion bars getting easier each time, only problem is i cant actually get them out.

    So far i have tried:
The basic stuff from the other guides (puller made from M8 bolt + socket ect)
    WD40 (plenty of)
    Coke (plenty of)
Blowtorch (numerous times on both ends of the bar)
    Penetrating oil.

Got a makeshift slide hammer that the welder at work knocked me up.

But i STILL can't get the damn things out. Iv left the car in the garage overnight soaking in penetrating oil and im going to try a different method using the blowtorch tomorrow not heating the bar but heating the surrounding metal.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? (apart from take it to garage lol)

I know this is a n00b question but iv tried everything suggested in other threads and i still havent made any progress.

Help is much appreciated guys n girls (rep for good suggestions )

Ignore the slide hammer method, the only time this works is if the bars have been out before and were greased before they were put back in.

Personally i use a big bar if the end turned down so it locates inside the tapped hole.

Combined with a 3 pound hammer they will come out.

Just be careful you dont damage the body work when trying to remove them.

Well.... i bought myself a slide hammer yesterday but due to family issues i couldnt get stuck in with it.

I don't want to give up with it because i cant really afford to take it to a garage, but also i dont want to be wasting my time fannying about with it not getting anywhere.

So i think il have one more go at it some time, if i still cant do it, its going to a garage.

Id rep if i could, but i cant so have my everlasting love for you help
