Loud Noises!

tried this in saxo problems area but didnt get much response so will try here.

Everyone will know that the saxo rattles and squeaks from everywhere whilst driving and lets alot of outside noise in.

Was wandering if u could help to make this less noiser by doing anything to the interior. i know u can sound proof the car to stop the outside noises. but if u were to strip everything, i.e. door cards, dash, seats etc. is there anything u could do/replace with better parts to make the car less rattley and squeaky.

Anyone tried anything or know of any solutions?

the only thing i would suggest is sound deadening the pannels. maybe replace the clips or put a small bit of glue on each clip to stop them rattling?

someone said something to me about using clips off another car, think it was an nissan almera but not sure. its not just clips that rattle though, its the whole car and i think thats the problem!

get the door card clips for a 2003 primera - they make such a difference - that and some sticky back foam strips on the contact surfaces also helps to reduce the rattling that you get. worst places are the front door cards and the trim on the inside of the boot lid.

expanding foam all the way, lighter than sound proofing and fills holes nicely, just be very careful!

Loft insulation into the holes then sound deadening material over it.
