Plan for tomorrow ...

Got a full day off uni so I'm going to spend a bit of time with my car

First off, i'm going to de-pin the doors, i've been meaning to do this for a few months now but haven't got round to do it.

Secondly, I'm going to head over to Peugeot to get a smaller aerial - can't wait as i'm sick of the fishing rod one hhaha

Anyone got any advice on the de-pinning (Mk2 VTR), or on the 206 aerial situation?

    Thanks in advance

yer de-pinning my doors are on my to-do list also

i suppose its so simple that you just forget to do it, or leave it until last

take door car off, undo the 3 bolts on the door by the door handle then you will be able to move it about get your hand it there and un hook it, done cut it because it pretty much defeates the point in de- pinning

yeah i think i'll try this first, but i'll probably end up cutting it if i can't do it

right, i'm just going to try and de-pin it properly i.e. unclipping rather than cutting it - i'll report back tomorrow

I tried to undo my bolts by the door, but they were really stiff.

So I just cut it. Make sure you cut them down as far as you can.

I found cutting it was harder than un clipping because of the space you have!

    Good luck

TBh.. I tried for hours to de-pin my 04 mk2 saxo.. But.. failed miserably.

At one point, i stopped all of the central locking from working.. and also stopped the door from opening/unlocking.. at all..

Had a quick go with the vts.. but.. no luck..

I heard it's really simple on the mk1's though

i had to just cut it but as far down as i could

Ok, so I've been and got myself a 206 aerial, looks much better on my car (pictures soon), so i was happy with that.

I've de-pinned my car "properly" i.e. without cutting - was pretty easy i thought, but hte only problem is now, i can't find any gromits for the holes left in my doors!

Been to Halfords, Motorworld and Motive and none have any - can anyone help?

    Thanks!

just been to B&Q and nothing, been to 2 different Halfords stores, one of them were saying they've never sold them - but i've seen pictures of them that people have bought so they were obviously lying, dunno what to do now
  17. #17
    halfords do sell them

i got a bag of mixed gromets from there its 13mm you need i think!

    yep UPDATE!

Turns out the first Halfords i tried DO sell them, i rang up after seeing them on the website and apparently the bloke who said they don't sell them "has just started working there" - fuming! haha all done now though and looks class, thanks for the replies everyone
