Important! : Help needed ASAP

    Bought a set of standard MK 2 VTR tail lights today. Without the facia on them, when the break is pressed the bottom outside bulbs light up, but when ive got all my headlights etc on they seem to use the same bulbs, and so when im breaking at night they dont get any brighter because the brake and the tail lights use the same bulbs. The inside of the bottom bulbs dont light up at all? Can anyone help me ASAP as i need to get it sorted.

    the outside bulb on the bottom IS the brake light and your rear sidelight, mayeb you have the wrong bulbs in???

    There should be 2 filiments inthe bulb, one for the sidelight and one for the brake light.

    I would check this first.

    As the lights go its: (on the neasr side rear light)

    Top Left - Indicator
    Bottom Left - Brake and Sidelights.
    Top Right - Reverse Light.
    Bottom Right - Fog Lights

    And its the same for the other side jst swap over which side they on lol

    Thats very confusing, i've read it 3 times and cant make sense.

    However..

    Do you mean when you press the breaks and you have side lights on you can't see them get any brighter?

    If so,

    Take the break/sidelight bulbs out and turn them around, they're probably in upside down.
