after a long time deciding the spring through searches on here, im getting eibach pro 30mm,
now all whats left is how low shall i adjust the rear? 35mm or 40mm, any pics would be great, i just dont want to think 'dont look that different', thanks in advance

i heard some guy in the garage says you can only lower the torsion bar at 40 mm intervals so standard .. 40mm ... 80mm .. 120..
  3. #3
if your doing the front 30, lower the rear 30? i would

edit - you can lower the bar in 1mm intervals if you wish

thats if u lower by splines, thats not the correct method puts strain on the axel pins.

I dnt really want to go 30 on the back as my car is fairly high and im worried i wont see much difference

you will be surprised mate, personally i would lower the rear the same amount as the front, so that the rear sits a little higher than the front.

why would you want that tho?

this is how high my car is btw guys

because its good for handling, im sure if you lower the rear more you get understeer, dont quote me on that though but im pretty sure.

edit - lowered 35mm all round (so near enough to 30) http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...ght=rear+lower

i did a quick chop on paint and this is what im guessing 30mm all round will look, so im thinking i might go 30 front and 35 rear??
whats everyone think about that height? >

Can hardly see a diff mate, personally I would go 40mm all round as I have. Plus Id always lower the rear same as the front but at the end of the day its your car

i cant find decent enough 40 springs tho - i would like to go 30 front 40 rear, but will it make much of a difference handling wise?
  11. #11
35mm is what i am, looks alright 40mm looks better.

but i am sticking with the 30 - 35mm and lowered the rear the same.
  12. #12
hmmm , im swaying towards 40 rear becuase it doesnt look all that different from standard in the pic ^
  13. #13
but then 'eibach does recommend 25-30 on the rear so should i go 35 rear not 40! lifes desicions
  14. #14
just lower it the same mate. on a vtr the ebaich springs that state 35mm are more like 30 so lower the rear 30mm
  15. #15
says the eibach springs are 30 - havent found any eibachs which say 35 so settling for these, 30 doesnt seem alot on the back, looks like standard, looking at this picture guide

    most sites say around 35mm

not seen them listed as 30mm tbh

I had the 35mm ebaichs and thought they were shite.
    Way too soft.

Dont be a pussy and slam the boy...
Mine is down 55mm on 16s on the front and 45ish on the back, i'll get a picture if you want?
  19. #19
Ive jus raised the rear of my 106 quiky up from 55mm to 40 and tbh i think it doesnt handle as well very unsettled mid corner! personally drop the 40-45mm at the rear, hardly any understeer, and its alot more predictable when thrashing it lol!

60 front 80 rear but thats just mee

yeah the pro kit. Good for standard road use, shite for out else.
They are standard spring rate thats why lol

good quality springs just not stiff enough for me.

    60 front 80 rear

    is what i done
  23. #23
so when eibach say lowers front by 30, recommends rear 25-30, thats not all important and if i wanted to i could go down 40 and still be fine?
  24. #24
    anyone?
  25. #25
anyone no if 30 front 40 rear would be ok handling, i mean wont be dangerous or terrible understeer , i dnt go on the track so doesnt have to be spot on
  26. #26
do the same front n rear i would
  27. #27
my vtr is 40mm front and rear and feels much better handling wise but i do also have a strut brace aswell
