    do you have to have harnesses or can you use normal seat belt

    I've used the normal seatbelts in 2 of my cars when i had buckets!

    Harnesses are cooler though

    can use seatbelts but u need to bolt the buckle thing with the pretensioner to the side of the bucket

    as above you can still use normal seat belts but you need to have a pre tensioner bracket

    and what happens if i chop the pretensioner?

    hmm, well your seatbelts should be on the list of things not to bodge and keep relatively safe. Do you mean bodge as in diy, homemade brackets etc cos im not sure about that

    ye i just drill hole in subframe or sumin
    and what happens with out the pretensioners

    no pretensioners means the wont tense in a crash.. = you through windscreen

    i would NOT want to play about with seatbelt working order.

    its like messing with your brakes.. instant death

    buy a subframe with a bracket for the pretensioner on it

    its the best way

    the belts will still tension when pulled without a pre tensioner. you can even try it yourself by just pulling the belt when its not attached to the pre-tensioners or even tuggint the rears, they dont have pretensioners. all the pre-tensioner does is tense the seat belt from the bottom even more by the spring etc going 'bang' (same time the airbag will deploy). tighter your belt the less it will hurt

    I never had the pretensioner on mine.

    Never really thought about it either tbh.

    alot of 'older' cars dont have em, but i'd still rather make do with em than ditch them

    seat belts with buckets looks unbelievably gay, proves your only doing it for looks and not for the extra support
