Running throttle bodies on standard cam

   i have a vtr. im thinking about putting throttle bodies on it. i assume they would run better on uprated cams. but what kind off figures would i be looking at with the standard cams ?
   
   And what sort off cam is best for running tb's on ?

   there is no real best.
   
   Bodies allow you to run wilder cams and not get scavaging in each cylinder which can happen with a plenum.
   
   You have cams that are race cams that are better with certain gearboxes etc.. and cams that might be more suited to the rest of an engine.
   
   you wont get huge gains on standard cams imo, but should feel a difference.

   cheerz =), i knew there wouldnt be much difference with standard cams, i was discussing this with a mate earlier.

   any ideas where i can get the throttle bodies for the vtr ? kam dont do them do they ?

   most 8v'ers are cheap (hence not having 16v lol) and so therefore use bike set ups.

   i was thinking about a vts conversion, but most people opt for that option. i want to try something different.

   theres a reason most opt for it, i remeber when most couldnt afford 16v engines, so they tuned the fuck out of 8vers... they then bought 16v engines and never looked back. 8vs were done to death back in the day its not about being different
   
   Bike carbs require a inlet manifold being made up, there are many about though.

   NA wise yes, if going boost an 8v can still produce good power.
   
   Just imo 8v engines are alot less economical to get big NA power from.
