Rear end higher after replacing rear axle?

   I haven't done much to my car as iv been skint lately and i don't know much about doing it myself anyway lol
   
   but a few weeks ago my step dad replaced the rear axle because it failed the mot on it, but since then the rear end is sitting ALOT higher.. I mean it looks like its on stilts =\
   Dont know what the person who i bought it off had done to it before lol
   
   Anyone know why this could be? =\ Or am i being stupid lol.

   was your old axle lowered? if so is the new one at standard height?

   Was a 1.1 axle fitted? These sit higher than the westcoast's

   Yes it has. Looked identical to the one that came of when we had them next to eachother =\ Lol

   Owell you will have to have play with it ,and tweek the torsion bars......
