where is the intake air temperature sensor and if you fit a resistor to this does it gain bhp.
intake air temperature sensor!

#1
-
#2don't do it mate, it just fools the ecu in to thinking the engine is cold all the time so it makes it run richer
-
#3what does that me mate, and would it harm my enigine
-
#4it means you would be using alot more petrol, when the engine is cold it doesnt use as much air it uses more fuel to get it started
so it will be running like that all the time -
#5would it gain bhp and do think it would harm my engine
-
#6overfueling for no reason and messing up the air and petrol ratios will damage your engine mate. its not worth it so dont buy one..
-
#7any body else got any comments on this!
-
#8As stated it's an old trick and not worth it, you're just gonna get hassle.
-
#9plus them resistors on ebay arnt worth it because every cars sensor reads different at different temps, so for example at 20'c intake temp the sensor might give out 40 ohms off resistance. so if the send a resistor thats 60 ohms of resistant it will think the intake air is hotter than it is and add less fuel making it run lean.
Like everybody said it aint worth it.
