retriming interior in cream leather (giving it ago myself)

   i really really wanna try doing my interior in cream LOOKALIKE leather ie door cards gear gaiter seats read seats etc just wondered if anyone on here has tryed??
   
   dont laugh but ive got hold of me mums sewwing maachine been practicing on various fabrics etc and getting pretty good..
   
   ill start off small like the gearstick bit and door cards.
   
   any suggestions im buying a 25m roll of cream leather lookalike upholstry and using it if it goes wrong its only 25quid lost
   
   are there any tips or anyone here found easyer ways to do the retrim
   
   on the seats im going to do the rear first, pull out pull the fabric off make templates etc and trim the "leather" to this shape then try putting it back stiched up with the new one ive made.. sounds simple bet its gonna be a bitch lol
   
   i use to use passion ford and a lad did his bit by bit looked awsome for a home effort just didnt rush it and it worked really well..
   
   any help guides tips etc would be appricated !!!
   
   also do u think creams abit dated now ?? bearing in mind my cars read

   ye good luck with it mate, u got nothing to lose really and iv never herd about anyone else on here doin it,
   will cream match a red car tho and does it get dirty quick?
   i usually prefer black but just my opinion
   get pics up when u done!

   think scott done his old vtr back years back
   
   he said he used soft leather, which wasnt the best, make sure its tough so it can cope with the wear and tear of getting in and out every day

   Search 'Fabricaz' on ebay mate, they do great deals on faux leather in various styles. More so if you are buying in bulk too!

    ther was a guide of his doorcard retrim but then after a while it started to discolour or something iirc

    cheers guys will be posting updates as i go along if the fabric turns up before friday ill be starting this at the weekend

    i trimmed my boot install, ipod holder, door pods and i did do the door cards but replaced them with some desire ones now
