#2they're shite mate. go to GMC and get one of their fuel pressure regulators.
-
#3just been reading up on them on the gmc site think i will be getting a fuel pressure regulator
cheers sean
-
#4fse valves are fuel pressure regulators.
-
#5but those ones are shit, GMC know what their talking about
-
#6yeah think its a safe bet there will be a 4.5 bar fpr sat where my 3.5 bar one is soon n possibly a heat wrapped btb manifold
-
#7you had yours remapped steve?
-
#8nah havent got round to it only got a enclosed induction kit n full decat magnex on it so far was going to get it done after fitting the 4 branch n the fpr
-
#9nice one. get a Dastek. i drive past the Dastek HQ everytime i go to edinburgh, and with me having a vts lump (27000 miles on it) sat in my garage, i really am gonna have to start pulling the finger out and start putting in some overtime
-
#10depends if funds will allow might just get a jam sport remap for now then get a dasek when i've got the funds
aye you should get the vts dropped in
-
#11how much you lookin at payin 4 the manifold pal? am after 1 aswell. the heat wraps pretty steep from ABP motorsport, think its about 50 notes, dunno if its cheaper elsewhere like
-
#12FSE is not shit, if they are can someone tell me why? does anyone who has posted that they are crap actually know the difference between a FSE FPR and a static GMC FPR?
the hint was in the question there, perhaps that makes it rehtorical (or however you spell that damm word)
GMC STATIC regulators are just that, come in 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 and 4.5 bar. But what if your car's setup would work best with 4.25bar? or 3.7bar? which regulator do you choose? do you put a larger one in or a smaller one?
with the FSE when your car is mapped it can be set at the EXACT pressure that the car makes the most power on, not just the mapper mapping the car to your static 4bar or 4.5 bar regulator to get the best based on the regulator.
Now the FSE does sound shit doenst it... hmmm -
#13havent got round to getting a price yet mate thats cheap for the heat wrap though demon tweeks want 70-75 quid for itQuote:Originally Posted by jimmy16vhow much you lookin at payin 4 the manifold pal? am after 1 aswell. the heat wraps pretty steep from ABP motorsport, think its about 50 notes, dunno if its cheaper elsewhere like
and i think gmc want around 55 quid for it
-
#14ratty-i see what your getting at but a few lads round here thats had the FSE valves all said that they tend to go wrong very easily
-
#15yeah gmc do it 4 about 55 notes aswell matey, they do the 4-1 manifold at about 180 quid i think, thats mild steel tho. gafvts got his from gmc when it got supercharged, stainless n it luks mint
-
#16the only way they can go wrong is if the diaphram split but it shouldnt if its fitted setup and left.
-
#17and sorry about being arsey in first post
-
#18lol its cool mate i can see where your coming from, and to be honest - i dont have the complete knowledge on this specific product...therefore i had no right to say it was shite as i have no personal experience from it
but on the other hand, from numerous posts on this website, and a handful of my friends - i deduced they were nothing to write home about, and not worth the money and effort
GMC seem to be a reliable company, and i havent heard a bad word about them (and ofcourse..im bias towards them as theyr local) - so i will obviously sing their praises -
#19pretty sure fse ones are well known and used all across motorsport also so cant be bad?
