Suspension set up

    I'm upgrading to a 4 stud hub conversion around the car, and whilst at it I'm going to be lowerring the car.

    I currently have a set of 40mm spax lowerring springs, and wonderring what rear dampers I should look into, and whether or not I should bother with a set of shocks for the front.

    As I'm doing the conversion, obviously money is tight and storage space is limited. Are standard front shocks a no-no at 40mm and the same with the rear.

    I've had a search, and I am after handling but am struggling to find a good set of dampers for the right price. Obviously cost shouldn't be an issue with this, but I wasn't planning on lowerring till the new year when money was dumping itself in my bank account once again.

    would be best to mate but if you dont drive hard you will be fine mate

    on my 1.1 i had a spax vsx kit (50mm springs and dampers)
    didi the job very well
    you could run just the springs for now and then upgrade the shocks in a few months

    i also had a vtr rear arb in there

    but for a budget setup it was ace
