wheezing noise

    theres a loud wheezing noise in my saxo vtr when i hit 50 in 2nd and 70 in 3rd(no im not a chav who races on roads)
    i was thinking possibly the gearbox is on its way out

    any help appreciated (sp?)

    hopefully not hole gearbox possibly just bearing ?
