Removing The Front Bumper.....

Hey guys.

Well got my hands on a laguna splitter and im going to be fitting it over the weekend.

Im jst a little unsure how to remove the front bumper to make this ALOT easier.......

I am aware its held in by 4 bolts (i think) just not sure where they are etc etc

Also will i need to jack the car up to get to them?

Any advice would be great guys, cheers

If you have a Haynes manual (the Red one, not modding one), It should say in there with pictures. I can tell you where they are, but Pictures would make it easier so If you have one, try in there first.

i havnt done this myself, this is straight out of the haynes manual. with other things i found that there tends to be alot quicker way than this book says but like i said havnt done it myself so cant realy help on that:

1. Disconnect battery

2. Remove headlight surround

3. Get it on axle stands and remove both front wheels

4. Remove the wheel arch liners (a few screws and some clips that pop out)

5. Should be a screw at each end of bumper holding it to bodywork, remove that

6. Under each wheel arch should be 2 screws, one at the side and one at the front, unscrew these.
7. Then should be 2 securing bolts and the bottom edge of the bumper, unscrew these

8. Now disconnect the wiring from the front fog lights, and headlight washer tubes.

9. Unclip bumper at both sides, then pull towards to disengage the 2 locating clips from the front panel and remove from car

seems abit confusing without the pictures, but cant upload them as no scanner. duno if thats and help to you. good luck with it.

Thanks for that mate thats a great help!

Altho i might give taking the wheels etc off a miss, wil probs just turn the wheels so i can get in, but from there on all sounds ok.

Might do a how-to-guide if i can, will post up when done in my priogress thread.

aye i would do exactly the same it sounds pretty long winded taking the wheels off, that haynes manal told me to take my front bumper off to get my headlight out lol.

should defos do a how to guide.
