Important! : Need some help with my vts turbo!!

    All's i need to know is the cheapist way of finishing my turbo conversion.All i need to do is sort the standalone ecu out an bigger injectors, but cant get the funds for it. i'm thinkin about the 5th injector but just want to know if there is another way of runnin any boost which is cheaper but safe. Thanks.

    im exactly in exactly the same position as you mate, ive got everything else other than the managemennt and fueling, but cant seem to get any advice out of anyone on this subject!!

    Sorry boys, if your running boost you need to spend cash, and the management and injectors are quite important! so jus save some cash and then get the injectors etc and do it properly

    bt what i was wondering was, if i get a dastek installed and mapped, would 4 larger injectors be sufficent for fuelling??? if so where can i get the injecotrs form?? r they available out of another engine?? or do i have to buy brand new??

    Just make sure that the injectors are large enough to fuel the engine - then of course they'll be sufficent. If you go for 4 larger injectors that are only 10cc larger each - then they probably won't do. Fairly self explanitory tbh.

    Most engine tuning places will sell injectors. QEP / GMC would be the best place to go, and themselves or other 106/Saxo specialists would be able to advise if you can use injectors from another engine.

    Buy 4 larger injectors then go standalone. Make sure the replacement injectors are a fair bit larger (but not rediculous) and then the standalone management can control the injectors.

    My advice is not to go down the 5th injector / piggy back dastek route.

    i have one of these problems, im waiting arrival of my ECU witch should be here this week, and im using a larger fuel pump(walbro 225) and as for the injectors im puzzled can anyone enlighten me?

    Enlighten you on what? You want to know what cc injectors to use?

    yea i would like to know what size of in jectors to use on my vts turbo?? also do yuo know where i can get an extra thick headgasket?? like 1.9mm or so??

    A bit of detail would help. Like what power the injectors need to be able to cope with, and what fuel pressure.


    You can get thicker repair gaskets from Citreon, but not sure what the biggest size they have.

    You need a 1.8mm steel head gasket really. I havent done much looking around for mine yet but i know Hi-Flow Heads do them, check out this link below:

    Dont think they are their prices are the cheapest, but it gives you an idea...

    theres no easy solution i has the same problem spend over a grand an still had lots of work to do keep it naturally aspirated and just get boddies

    yea but to get a real good natuarlly aspirated engine you have got to spend thousands aswell, so either way its gona cost a bob or two!!
