   Currently have a k&N on my mk2 vtr, like the sound from it after about 4000rpm but am after more of a performance kit now. Just want to know your recommendations, how they sound? and performance wise? cheers

   I'd say a BMC CDA, seem to keep a lot of the heat out.
   Or a K&N Gen 2, its an open cone but moves the filter right down to the front of the engine bay and gives a cold air feed. Loads of people will disagree with me but Chris at Manic Motors uses one on his track prep'd cam'd vts and he says its great and doesnt let him down.
