HID/Xenon Help

    i noticed a few people have done a HID conversion on there cars on here, what sort of prices is there for the kits? and what do you get? also how easy is it to fit yourself. ive never seen one before and fancie gettin one for my mk2. hoping someone will give me some info on them.

    is that for headlights and fogs? were abouts can you get them from?

    usually true, but not always, Ive had two kits one was 100 from turborevs.com and was crap, went back 4 times and never worked properly.

    My current ones 85 and from hidsdirect.co.uk, and the build qualities ten times better.

    mine were only £70 and suit me fine... they are lots better then standard.

    I just hear lots of people having problems with cheap kits... perhaps i was lucky.

    i think theres conversion kits on ebay for around £60 also whats involved in installing these..

    i was expecting about £100 anyways so 70-80 quid is a sound price for me. are they easy to fit?

    the wiring is straight forward, getting the bulb seated correctly can be tricky but its still not overly difficult.

    You dont with all kits, but with both of mine I had to take the light unit apart to get the bulbs to sit correctly as the retainer clips arent wide enough to fit around the motor for the high/low beam switch.


    Piss easy to fit just gotta think about where everything goes etc

    try actual xenon bulbs m8. only bout six quid on ebay and there much better than standard
