    got a vts engines lookin bit grubby

    can i paint the manifold cover bit? can i use hammerite or do i have to use high temp paint?

    mines the silver top 98bhp vtr and i wana paint the silver part (am i right in sayin rocket cover? sumthin like that anyway! no clue bout engine!) cos thats gettin bit grubby to can i use hammerite on that or do i need high temp paint again?

    if your gonna paint anything under the bonnet u will definately be better with temp resistant paint

    or if u wana just clean it - get sum degreaser and give it a steam clean and/or a good scrub

    well paint is comin off the rocetk cover (if thats wot u call it) anyone know if i can just take it off?

    manifold cover can just have a good clean like mite clean it up next week was jus thinkin of paintin it

    you can take off the rocker cover but you have to be careful. and have something to cover it while the covers off to stop dust etc getting in

    your also best taking manifold cover off and just giving it a good clean and polish, with proper metal polish

    no problem mate

    i never did it on my vtr, so dont take my word as gospel - but just b careful about getting shit inside your engine

    nax i mean my vtr engine is a bit grubby! not vts!

    joe il do it outside so not dust and put somethin over it str8 away

    nah was tempted but why drop out an engine only on 25k cant b arsed with the hassle! im just a low rider cruiser anyway!
