OMP lower strut brace

any pointers on where and how to fit this, had the car up on the ramps to have a look where to fit it and couldnt see anywhere

any pictures or advice would be greatly appriciated, and i did a search and found out they were fiddley to fit but thats all that was said.

    thanks

pretty easy use shallow sockets ,
undo the nut off y=thee wishbones but leave the bolt in slide on brace and tighten bolts easy as pie
    takes 10 mins literally x

whats your clearance like with the manifold? i think i know why i couldnt see where it would fit, i have heatwrapped my manifold...
  6. #6
    clears the manifold fine mate
    heatwrap shouldnt make any difference

hmm, ill give it another go tommorow after work. when it was up on the ramp, on each side there was a diagonal peice of metal tubing that prevened the brace go on where it was shown, ill try ang get a pic up...

i think i know the tubing your on about thats miles away from the bolts the brace goes on

basically when your under the car look at the wisbone and the front bush were it bolts through the chassis thats were it bolts to
it bolts on the rear of the wishbone mounts

thats perfect, ill take a pic of my brace and you will see why im going to have trouble fitting it...
  12. #12
tbh you shuldnt have any issues fitting unless the brace is bent (mine is a little but i managed to man handle it in lmao)

you can see the omp has longer tubing that will rub against the diagonal bars i think....not my choice of tablecloth btw
  14. #14
thats not a saxo brace mate might explain the problem
i have an omp one on mine

    see omp
  15. #15
you sure thats for a saxo???????

    should look like this

    http://www.strutbracer.co.uk/page1.p...elid=181&tab=2
  16. #16
agreed, thats not a saxo strut brace. that wont fit mate as it will catch on the underneath of the car so you wont be able to get it into position.

ps. - when you do get the correct one, remember to only take the nuts out not the bolt!
