dramatic oversteer

    hi all i was giving the car some welly against an a3 1.8t and i went over a crest in the road and jumped bout 4 ft in the air when i landed it blew the rear tyres out but managed to save the car. right here goes ive now had another 2 toyo proxes put on but now when i go round a right hand bend i get extreme oversteer that bad that at 50 on a not so tight corner it put me off the road again although i didnt crash.

    ive looked under the arches and at the suspension but cant see any obvious signs of damage i did have a full car when it happend and u can see where the tyres hit the inner arch ...any ideas what i may have done

    on a public road talking like that oh dear oh dear

    most probablies has hit the rear bumper bracket, car lowered??

    ye i know lol

    but no the car still looks fine its not sitting funny or does it look any lower. and the car is standard apart from magnex back box and a manifold im realy scared now to go round any corner carying any sort of speed.

    just jack the rear up and have a really good ole look.

    or.....it could of just been e really slippy bend

    Been a total DICK maybe ????

    1 - you should not be racing on the public roads
    2 - There is no way in hell you would even beat a A3 1.8T
    3 - Having a car full you should of REALLY knowen you would not beat the Audi
    4 - if you must fly around like a prat, do it when your alone in the car, than if you do loose control, you dont ruin every one elses lives, just your own!

    someones touchy listen right i dont drive like that all the time and ye i know i should do it on my own and ur telling me that u have never put ur foot down on a public road and yes i have beaten that 1.8t before on the airfield near me.

    ah ur all hipocrites i dont know any person whos never driven a bit to fast and for ur iformation i was only doin 65 guess what in a 60 it was a road well out in the country nowhere near any built up place the road has a hidden crest in it so to be honest it wasnt really eratic driving and i dont see why that atracts ppls coments before theyve even asked about what speed i was doing all i was asking was what do u think i might have broke .........and the corner that i spun out after this had happend was again in a 60 and doing 50

    well you can do 30 on a main road then theres a roundabout does that mean i spin round it at 30mph?

    no i slow down and drive carefully

    I'd look at teh front anti roll bar links, with one/both broken it would make the back end lively.

    So your drving was in such a calm and safe manner that your car lifted 4ft off the ground and the rear tyres exploded? and your trying to say you wer not driving eratically!

    No problem mate, and yes, i have put my foot down in my car PLENTY of times. but i dont go trying to be Richard Burns doing rally jumps on back roads.

    To be totaly honest i hope you have fkd the back end of your car, maybe that will teach you a damn lesson!

    But like i said, if you want to no whats wrong with it take it to a garage.

    is the car lowered? rear shocks may need replacing.
    More then likely fucked drop links, steering rack possibly, shocks and ball joints.

    There not airplanes


    By the sounds of it, its just your irratic driving style.

    I dont know how you blew the rears and not the fronts, were your tyres road worthy or cracked to fuck.

    You should have just created a thread saying i have crazy ass oversteer, rahter than am a rude boi whos fucked my car street racing.

    re read what he's posted, do you honestly think its acceptable on public roads?

    Its got nothing to do if any other members drive like vicars or not, hes openly admitted to driving like a "cunt" and speeding on a public forum, its not the wisest thing to do.

    ye cheers m8 and again if u read what i said ul find that the crest in the road was hidden id never been on that road before and it looked like a long staright road i wasnt speeding. i know that i should have been going more carefully and in the future il remember that but its the first accident of any sort.... and no the tyres were toyo proxes in a1 condition i think the tyres blew out because they melted well thats what it looks like anyhow cheers for the lecture even though i know

    Some of you need to chill out abit, i know he managed to explode his rear tyres, but your writing like you have never done something stupid on the road yourself?! Ill admit that ive done some stupid stuff in the past and im defo not the only 1!

    Anyway, id say replace the rear shocks and make sure the isnt any play in the radius arms!

    PS. been working on the refinery in pembroke, roads are awesome round tht area

    I agree with Nick tbh. I bet all of you have broken the speed limit once in your life and tried to race a faster car than yours. Djmorgz I would just take it to a garage for a specialist look- dont take it to Quik Fit though rip off merchants FTW

    Shit thread.

    If you think your more or less standard saxo is fast, go on a track next show season. Then you'll see your car isn't an evo off two fast too furious, and your driving is shit.

    As said, Rear dampers. Saxo suspension isn't built for aircraft landing.
