turbo exhuast

    done a search but cant anything.

    whats best exhuast set up for a vtr turbo.
    would it be down pipe back with a nice large bore and then a free flowing back box ie a jap can.

    or would it still be a supersprint, magnex ect ect

    I will be going for 3 inch straight through with a nice large box. I will be fitting flanges to enable me to bolt on a standard cat for the MOT. I would say the more free flowing the exhaust is, the better, so not sure supersprint / pugsport etc would be suitable really. Would be interested to see what other people have used on their turbo's.

    i was think of just a 3 inch pipe going to some chavy uni fit jap can

    Well, i wouldnt go for a chavy uni fit back box - not if you have spent thousands on the turbo conversion!

    depends on power going for 2.5" is what a mjority of people have gone for only people I know to go for over that is the 250bhp+ atw people

    3" straight through it is for me then!

    Not sure what bore to go for, will be having a custom exhaust made in the next 2-3 weeks, think it will be 3"!!

    the above is the best idea.

    Most people run 2.5 inch pipework, only time i have seen 3 inch used is when running more than 350 bhp, there is a 106 running 340 bhp at the fly and he is using 2.5 inch without any restrictions

    i had janspeed custom make my system and thats only 2.5 inch, but ive got a screamer pipe off the wastegate

    just the straightest through design you can find and a decat and mani.

    im going 3" with a custom subtle box at the rear

    i have all the flanges etc, just need to decide on who im going to get to make the system up.
