your looking at 500 for a good job. qep, gmc or somewhere thats recommended as bad head jobs can slow your car down. dont chip it either, you want a remap

so how much power gain wud i b looking at if i hac the head ported, cammed wiv pullys n re-mapperd?
  11. #11
    and full stainless zorst
  12. #12
When ever i take a head off i get it skimmed

not only does this ensure that the mateing face is perfectly flat it also increases the compresion slightly giveing more power marginly

As for porting and polishing go some where with a good rep, as a bad job will loose you power
  13. #13
yer will b gettin the head skimmed aswell its jst finding a gd place local 2 me
  14. #14
getting your head skimmed will make your compresion higher there for getting a little bit more power but if you skim it by alot then you should consider putting a race head gaskit on as you wil find higher compresion = easy blown head gaskit

    hape that helps

on vts around 155, every car is different. you dont need new pulleys either. take it you have a manifold

Fit an mls headgasket if you do get it skimmed

would it not be easier to fit a c2 head as that has larger valves and better port shapeing as standerd
    plus the covers look better!
