tosion bar lowering

i have just been to my local garage to ask about my torsion bar being lowered, and them seem to think that it goes down in 45mm notches
is this correct or can you have it what height you want?
    cheers

notches are 30 mm and tbh its a bad way to go

done properly wo can go in 2mm incriments iirc but it takes some doing to be that precise lol

notches arent any height, all depends on the car!
do not do notches though, pull bars out n lift arm

    i thought a notch went 30 aron?

Ok - since the 2 ends have *different* numbers of splines, if you leave one end where it is, and just go down ONE notch, then you'll lower that side around around 30mm.

If, however, you REMOVE the torsion bar completely and move the trailing arm to the exact position you want, you will find that you can slot the torsion bar back in at *some* point of it's 360 degree rotation. What I mean is, the relative position of the splines at either end will offer sufficient adjustment to lower the car by any amount. It's this fact that lets you choose the height.

search dude, dont get it done there.
Notches is a no no, you need to take the bars out and measure the hight.

demon tweeks did mine by removing the bars and then putting them back in once they got the desired height. but i will say piggy123 is a very good person to do the job. give him a shout mate.
