    up to you tbh, it does have a lot of miles though, since you got rid, and than bought it back

    i regretted everyday of being without it knowing i'd spent so much on it and once i saw it on ebay i got it straight back like i sed lol

    What exactly did you have replaced? Also depends on what state the engine is in, service histroy and how its been treated, like has it been bollocked from cold a lot.

    I've seen a few vts with over 170k on them still running nice no blue smoke or knocking etc.

    You spent £2000 renewing a standard engine? Feck me...

    I had my engine rebuilt at 100+k and had 708's fitted then remapped with the engine making a healthy 160 bhp. Done around 10-15k (with alot of those being track miles) since then but has suffered a suspected HGF. Still not got round to sorting it (has been over two years since it's been on the road!) , but reckon it'll still prove to be reliable once up and running again.

    I'd go for it mate.
