why do people take of they rear wiper been thinking of doing it but whats the point
why do people take of
-
#1
-
#2clean/tidy look ?? personally its better on
-
#3thats what i was thinking
-
#4Yeah I'd rather be able to see out the back when it's raining lol
-
#5It just looks cleaner. If you have a mk1 and want to keep the rear upgrade to a mk2. Looks alot neater
-
#6Personally I think it looks bettern off
xXx
ps. its 'off'
you fall off something
you make a cup of tea
annoys me when people do that lol -
#7true mate
-
#8I was just about to comment on the 'of' 'off' thing Holly. Great minds etc.
-
#9i have had mine off for about two years now and i have never thought, shit could do with a back wiper! unless you live on a farm or sumet it is quite hard to get the rear window dirty enough to affect your vision, seing as alot of new cars don't come with rear wipers it's obviously not a bad idea.
-
#11but whats the point mate it dont look good
-
#12Personally i wouldn't take mine off. I live in birmingham though, which makes scotland seem dry. Removal is completely down to preference.
-
#14same as single wiper conversion,i think its plain stupid !
but at least removing the rear wiper dosnt cost £100 -
#15Few of my mates have removed theirs, i agree it looks alot tidier, but watching them panic when they can't see whats behind them really turns me off the idea ha =D
-
#16looks better imo, each to their own!
-
#18it looks to
plain with it off but every one to there own mines staying on
-
#19looks much much better imo, and if you put rainX on the rear window, clean the car regularly eg at least once a month then youll be fine
-
#21i was really unsure about doing mine but am now so glad i have =)
-
#22Mk1s look shit with the wiper on as its a horrible looking one thats on them. as said if you want a rear wiper on a mk1 get the mk2 style or get the wiper off.
Mines off lol looks so much better imo -
#23looks loads bettefr off.....
even if i cant see out the back due to my shit up window -
#24Removed mine as it just looked more tidy without..throw some rain X on the rear window and youll be fine
-
#25i usally take mine off to save weight on my car

does look tidier though so still do it on my runabout -
#26All about the weight loss lol
-
#28under 750kg? Sweet! lol
-
#29

yus yus lol -
#30Remember Bills VTs? His was round 750 i think and that thing was nearly bare metal lol
-
#31i have tinted windows, no wiper, and my rear window heater has broke. so in the night and rain its absolutley terrible. but theres nothing wrong with just using mirrors =)
-
#32yea looks alot better, gonna get round to doing mine soon!
-
#33Looks shitloads better off. And never once have i thought, hmm could do with my rear wiper. As said rear heated screen clears it all. Nor do you need it down motorway in pissing down rain as i've been there too and got on fine.
-
#34I much prefer it being de-wipered, looks loads better and I've never had a problem with rear view visibility and I live down mucky lanes in the countryside, granted I clean my car alot but.......
-
#35better off imo...but take it off for a few days and if you want it back on it will take 5mins...that way you can try it out...
-
#36It does look good, but i use my rear wiper a fair bit so i have kept it on, down to the person though.
-
#38Prefer it off tbh it looks better without it,
i dont drive in the rain ftw lol. -
#40tookmine off to tidy the rear up, i use rain x on my windows so water beads off and also keep the car clean so i can still see
-
#41rear window wipers are gash anyway!
-
#42rain x were do you but it from, as il put it on mu side windows
